ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cake Decorator at Costco, you will be responsible for decorating and finishing cakes using icing, fillings, and decorative elements according to established formulas and visual standards. The position combines creativity with precision while supporting daily bakery operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Slice and fill cake layers using knives or slicing equipment.
- Apply icing between layers and frost cakes using spatulas or decorating tools.
- Decorate cakes with borders, designs, writing, and other finishing details.
- Prepare specialty cakes and decorated bakery items according to Costco standards.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Assemble and package decorated cakes for handling and display.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow food safety procedures.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service when required.
