ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier Assistant at Costco, you will play a key role in supporting checkout operations by packing merchandise, managing carts, and maintaining cleanliness in cashier areas. The position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong focus on member satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members and assist with packing and transferring items at checkout.
- Remove merchandise from carts and load items into boxes or flatbeds.
- Return carts and flatbeds from the parking area to the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness of cashier areas, registers, and surrounding floors.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service, including answering basic questions.
- Assist with retrieving items or processing returns when required.
- Operate mechanical lifting or transport equipment as needed.
- Support the cashier team during peak hours and promotions.
