Costco is hiring a Pharmacy Student to support pharmacy operations at its warehouse in Brampton, Ontario. This role provides hands-on experience in prescription processing, patient support, and pharmacy services while working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Student at Costco, you will assist with daily pharmacy activities, including prescription intake, data entry, medication preparation, and member service. The position is designed to support your professional development while ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with provincial regulations and Costco pharmacy standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer member inquiries and direct calls to appropriate pharmacy staff.
- Collect and input prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
- Prepare prescriptions by counting, labeling, and organizing medications under supervision.
- Assist the pharmacist with medication reviews and health promotion initiatives.
- Communicate with members regarding prescription and OTC products when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Stock and organize pharmacy drugs, supplies, and OTC merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area.
